Please read the following, before applying
for the “Big Kick” Award...
Purpose:
To acknowledge and reward the hard work and dedication of Martial Arts
site WebMasters! To acknowledge and reward those sites that have made a
significant contribution to the Online Martial Arts community.
General Criteria:
1. Applicant site must be Martial Arts Related.
2. Applicant site may be personal or commercial.
3. Applicant site must be registered by owner/creator/webmaster.
4. Registrant of applicant site must be 18yrs old or older.
5. The majority of content should be original and belonging to applicant
site.
6. Applicant site must have a copyright notice and credit the owner of
any copyright material used.
7. Applicant site should use ALT tags on images.
8. Applicant site should display correctly at 800x600 and 1024x768
resolutions.
9. Applicant site must display a “Privacy Policy” if information is
collected from visitors.
10. Applicant sites that automatically load a music or graphic file,
there should be an option to skip it.
11. Applicant site must be in English or provide an English translation
for visitors.
12. Applicant site should render correctly in multiple browsers (Opera,
Netscape and IE).
13. Applicant site should have no broken links or “Under Construction”
signs.
14. Applicant site should be updated frequently, with fresh and relevant
content.
15. Applicant site should be easy to navigate or have a “site map.”
16. Applicant site should be completely “Family Friendly!”
Specific Criteria:
Content: 30%
Creativity: 20%
Graphics: 20%
Layout: 15%
Navigation: 10%
Technically Clean: 5%
WOW Factor: 10% Bonus!
Winning:
A winning site will earn a score of 90 or higher.
Award winners will be notified within two weeks. Winning sites
will be added to our "Winners list."
Disqualification:
Applicant sites that
contain any of the following, in any form will be instantly
disqualified. Requiring a password for entry. Requiring the joining of
a newsletter or mail list. Page traps or blind links. Unmoderated
forums or chat rooms. Excessive popup graphics. Any code that makes
any changes without the users specific consent. Adult
content/Pornography, hatred or intolerance of any sort. Promotion of
any illegal activities. No exceptions! BKAP reserves the right to
disqualify any site for any reason!
Notes:
If applicant site does not meet criteria for an award or is
disqualified, site may be submitted for reconsideration after 3 months.
If at any time, a previous winner fails to meet Big Kick Award criteria,
award may be withdrawn and the previous winners name removed from the
winners list at our exclusive discretion.
Evaluator Code of Ethics:
I “AwardMaster” declare on behalf of myself and any other evaluator(s)
who might be contracted by the “Big Kick Award Program” to evaluate any
site. We agree in advance to promote the Web Evaluator Code of
Ethics. To ensure fairness to all Applicants and to maintain the Honor,
and Integrity of Applicants, Evaluators and the “Big Kick” award. All
critiques, will be constructive in nature and positive in comment.
Productive, in an effort to promote goodwill and advance the quality
level of Martial Arts internet sites. We agree to be uniform in
requirements (Criteria). I further declare we will fairly evaluate all Sites/WebPages
meeting the Criteria submitted. Agree not
discriminate based upon, grounds of race, gender, nation of origin,
religion, profession, age, or any other unreasonable notion!
Privacy Policy:
Genbu-Kai International collects information for
administrative (winner notification) and internal records keeping purposes only! There
will be no mass spam mailings. Information collected will not be
posted, sold or misused in any way!
